Baby #2 Update

I had another routine Dr. appointment today. All is still looking good. He will "check" me next week. Dialation is not necessarily an indication that I am going to go into labor soon so he likes to wait til 39 weeks. You can be dialated for a week or 2, or not at all and go into labor that night. I feel like his exam is what put me into labor with Cooper, but it could have just been coincidence? So until then we just continue to enjoy our time with just Coop and know that only God knows Samantha's birth day! I am feeling good and just trying to rest as much as I can. We'll keep you all updated.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Last Monday we took Coop to the Pumpkin Patch with Grandma and Papa. It started raining just as we got ready to go.... but rain or shine we went. It actually ended up being nice because we were the only ones there. Unfortunately Coop couldn't ride any of the carnival rides because they were shut down due to the rain. After he picked out his pumpkin (ok we picked it out for him) dad tried to win him a prize at the carnival games. No luck at winning, but we got some fun pictures and our pumpkin for the season!

Baby #2 Update

I went to the Dr. yesterday. I am 37 weeks, so Sam is considered full term and can come at any time now. I'm not having any consistent contractions, or any signs that she'll be here early. Yesterday I finished purchasing the decor items I needed for her room and I'm feeling like it's just about ready. I am going to paint a saying above her crib and Dave has some things to hang, but other than that it's just about all together. Once it's finished I'll take pics and post them.

The Big Fresno Fair

That's right as tradition stands we make our way to the Big Fresno Fair every year. This year it was just the 3 of us. We got our fair cuisine and walked through the exhibits. We checked out all the animals and Cooper got to see a Moo Cow close up. I don't like midway, so Dave took Cooper through it and he loved all the lights and rides. Coop's souvenier this year was a light up bubble gun. He loves bubbles, and says it over and over again when he sees them. At the end of the night we took our annual photo booth pics and Cooper just wanted to shoot bubbles! He was so sad when we had to put the bubble gun away once we got to the car. It was so sad and so cute at the same time. We can't wait for little Sam to be part of the tradition next year.

Baby #2 Update - Ultrasound

I went for an ultrasound today so they could see how big Samantha was. She is showing as 6 lbs 4 oz and right on for her due date. So she could possibly still gain 1.5 lbs before she makes her debut... making her a little bigger than Coop. The funny thing is looking back at my post from Coop's ultrasound from 3 weeks out he was showing as 6.5 lbs and that's what he weighed when he was born. So I just don't think the ultrasound is super accurate on the weight, but it does say that she is plenty big despite what I am measuring on the outside. They also confirmed she is still a girl so that's good too!

Baby #2 Update

We had another Dr. appointment this morning. I am measuring small just like I did with Cooper. The Dr. is not concerned since I am the exact same as I was with Coop, but just to be safe he has asked me to do an Ultrasound tomorrow. It's fun to do them this late in the pregnancy because it's in 4D and we'll get a squished face pic to compare to Cooper's. Other than that all else is good. We are just 4 weeks from her due date! Yes I'm getting anxious about labor and excited to meet her. We still have some things to buy before she arrives so hopefully I'll be able to finish my list at Babies R Us this weekend and then I can feel a little more prepared.

Family Lunch

Yesterday my Aunt and Cousins from Salinas drove over for the afternoon so we could have lunch and visit. We ate at Piaza del Pane...yummy panini, and then hung out at the house for a little. They got to see what's done in Sam's room (I'm not posting pics of it till it's finished). Coop was sleeping most of the afternoon but we got him up to say Hi to cousin Teah. She obviously knows just what to do when the camera comes out. Cheeeeese! They gave me lots of super cute clothes for Sam. I think Dave is getting a little overwhelmed with all the pink. Grandma Nancy also found a Samantha American Girl Doll (even though she is discontinued). For those who don't know I have always loved the name Samantha after the American Girls Dolls and their stories that we used to read in school. So lucky for me Dave has always loved the name too because I knew if we ever had a daughter that's what her name would be.

Baby Shower

Saturday night my good friends Lori, Ally, and Jen organized a baby shower for me. It was decorated so cute with pink every where! I was blessed with some girlie things for Sam and enjoyed hanging out with my friends. I'm just 4 weeks away from her anticipated arrival and dare I say I am ready for her to come. Thanks to my girls who made me feel special this weekend!

Proud Auntie and Uncle

So yesterday as soon as Dave got home from Pismo we headed straight to the hospital so he could meet his nephew. I don't think Bill and Michelle had really gotten any sleep but luckily little Jet had. It's so fun to hold a newborn again and crazy to think we will have another of our own in just 5 weeks.

I'm an Auntie!

Jet David Lebda was born early this morning at 1:25am. He weighed in at 8lbs 4oz and 22'' long. Mommy, Daddy, and Baby are all doing well. More pics to come!

New Hair Style

So yesterday I got a new hair style... not just a hair cut. My good friend Michelle cuts my hair and she convinced me we needed to cut, thin, and style it! It was hard for me to let go, but I trust her and she did a great job. My hair has never been this sleek.

Baby #2 Update

We went to the Dr. yesterday. I am 34 weeks... or just 6 weeks away from her arrival. I have had some more significant contractions this week. The Dr. said that's normal. If they go away then of course they are just Braxton Hicks. He also said after this weekend at about 34.5 weeks I am in the safe zone and he will not try to stop my labor. I'm not quite ready for her to be here yet, I still have a few more weeks of work. I've been trying to continue to take advantage of Coop's nap time and rest, but some days I just feel like I need to get some things done! Cooper can say baby now and he even said it and pointed to my belly. I think we'll work on getting him to say Sam next. I realized I need to get a pic of my big belly and post on here. I'll have Dave take one for me today.
