I'm sore

So last night I talked to Jacinda about the gym. She mentioned she goes to a class on Thurs. mornings at 9 so I said I would see her at the gym, but probably wasn't ready to join the class. This morning I was looking for every excuse not to go. Coop woke up in the middle of the night and early this morning, but I had the accountability and wanted to make it there. So we went at 9. While I was checking Cooper into daycare Mignon walked up with her boys. She convinced me she was just as out of shape as I was since her 2nd is just a month youger than Cooper. She said we could be partners. So I went and boy did the class kick my butt... but I love that I was exhausted and will certainly be sore tomorrow. That's what it's all about. No pain no gain! Thanks girls for encouraging me. Cooper also did great in daycare. So I'm officially hooked. I will be joining their class every Tues. and Thurs. morning for sure.
This afternoon Cooper and I made our way out to Visalia to visit Kelley and the kids. Emily was so cute wanting to play with and hold Cooper. Then when Jonah woke up from his nap he made Coop crack up with his silly faces and songs. It was so nice to get some mommy time in and let Cooper play with some other kiddos.
I am thankful for my girl friends today. :>)

Back to the GYM!

Well it's finally back to the gym for me!~ We just joined GB3 because of their awesome child care. After being at Bally's for 6 years we're done. Dave and I finally tried it out yesterday evening. We went to the Herndon and Fowler location, dropped Coop off at the child care and got the grand tour. Then we did a quick workout to get a feel for the place. It's exciting because the equipment is newer and nicer than Bally's. Even though I just did a 30 min walk on the treadmill I felt a little taste of that workout high as I was leaving. So good to be back and excited about the gym again!

Memorial Day Weekend

Our holiday weekend started on Friday. Dave took the day off so we had a 4 day weekend together! Becca came over Frid. morning with Ashley, Cooper's girlfriend. It was so fun to see them interact. They stared and smiled at each other. They're both so cute and I can't wait til they start playing together. Frid. afternoon we made a field trip out to Hanford to a little furniture store called the Country Hutch. While we were there we had dinner at a local pizza place and then walked over to Superior Dairy for a Banana Split made with real home-made ice cream!

On Sat. afternoon I enjoyed my mother's day present... a spa day at Estancia. It was awesome! Then Sat. evening we headed up to Grandma and Papa Quaid's. Cooper got to sit at the table with the rest of us.
I call this him officially sitting up by himself. I think he looks like my brother in this pic.
On Sun. our original plan was to hang out at the lake and get our 1st tan of the season, but since it was raining all day we stayed inside and watched the Indy 500 and Nascar.

Today I tried to get Coop into one of his 6 month sleeper because I know this is the last day of cool weather for a long time! He had a little matching Tigger hat that I had to put on and take his pic. Our outing today was getting groceries at Winco and going to Target. It was nice to have dad along for our Monday errands. Tonight Uncle Bill and Aunt Michelle came over for a Bar B Q and some family time. What a great long weekend. It's back to our daily grind tomorrow!

Spring is here: Part 1... in honor of H's birdies!

So this afternoon I came outside and saw THIS on the ground. I was confused as to where this pile of little sticks had come from. Then I heard flapping and looked up to find THIS...

So my friend Heather has been posting about her little nest, with eggs, then birdies, and now the tragedy that was "Spring" at her house. So I will post the updates of our little nest in honor of her fallen birdies. Stay tuned.

Still For Sale

Ok, so just an update on the house. Dave and I had really settled on the fact that maybe now is not the time to sell our house? We've dropped the price 3 times, had 3 open houses and no bites. We just dropped the price to $249,900 last week and since we've had 2 calls.... which tells us we have it at a competitive price with the foreclosures in our neighborhood, finally! This morning I had a realtor come by twice with the same client so now a new glimmer of hope! With all this said I just would like everyone to keep praying. I believe God has a plan and he will take care of us, I just need to learn to be content in every situation. This house is a great house, it's clean and totally re-done in our style... and it's in the perfect location. So if we're meant to stay her for several more years I want to be grateful for all that we currently have. Thank you to those of you who I know have been praying for us, it gives me peace to know we're never alone and that we have such great support from our friends and family.

Coop's 1st Pool!

Cooper loves his baths and he loves to float and kick in the water, so I thought it would be fun to get him a pool. Dave thought it would be best to get one big enough for Cooper and I both to get in. So we found this really cool pool at Target. It folds up into a really small flat circle and then just pops out when you're ready to use it. So no having to store a big plastic pool. We put it up yesterday afternoon but the water was too cold for him. Since it's been 100 dgrees the last few days I am sure it will warm up in no time. There is even a shade that goes over it so I can be in the sun and he can be in the shade. We're really excited to start using it!

Mel's Birthday Party!

Tonight Steph and I went to Melissa's birthday party at her dad's Pub. Steph's husband Jim hung out with Dave and Cooper. The boys baby-sat while the girls got to go out. We worked with Melissa at Zena's, she's such a sweet girl! Her dad owns a pub and that's where the party was. It was a fun evening of catching up with all our girlfriends we used to work with. They're such a fun group of girls!

These are some of the gals. Mel is in the middle
with the cute glasses.

Daisy's Spa Day

Poor Daisy has been neglected since Cooper's arrival. So today I gave her a much needed bath, clipped her nails and polished them. She got a bright pink manicure with Paw-lish from OPI. It's made just for dogs. She was so patient as I made her sit in my lap while they dried. She's all ready for summer!

Coop and I went to Jacinda's today

Coop and I went over to Jacinda's for a little while this afternoon. It was nice to catch up and see her girlies! Thanks for hanging out with us. Some day he'll actually be fun for Melania to play with.

Links Back Up

So i got the exciting idea to change the back ground of my blog. Well when I did that it got rid of all my cool add-ons at the side of the page. So in my "spare" time I have to re-add all the fun stuff I want on my blog. This morning it took me 30 minutes to add all my blog links back... but there they are and now I can continue keeping up with my friends' lives.

My 1st Mother's Day

  • I am so blessed to be a Mother this year! Yesterday we had a brunch at our house for our moms! It was a nice morning with our family.
  • Last night little Cooper fell asleep in my arms. That's just the best, so I had Dave take a picture because I know I won't always have those moments.
  • This morning Dave surprised me with a spa package at Estancia. He was really thinking of me because I have been complaining about the pain in my neck and shoulder and a massage is really going to be a nice treat. I can't wait to plan my spa day and spend some time for me. We went to church this morning and then came home and relaxed all afternoon. I am so lucky to be Cooper's mom and feel so blessed that I got to celebrate my 1st mother's day!

us.His Auntie Linda got him a cool Harley shirt to wear. His buddy Cole was there in his Harley wear too! What a fun day with friends and family!

Cooper even had a bib that matched our aprons. Thanks Marsha.
