Hope you had a good Easter too!

Poor Cooper was so tired from our late night on Sat. at Bill and Michelle's that he literally slept all day! His Easter basket from the Easter Bunny was bigger than he was. We went out to both his great grandparents houses in Kerman and spent the day with family. All of us got lots of candy and goodies!

He even got sunglasses in his basket to match Sleepy Chick's!

Decorating Eggs like true trailer trash!

So we went over to Bill and Michelle's and had dinner on Sat. night. Michelle and I decorated Easter Eggs in the trailer. We tried to get Coop involved, but he just wanted to eat and go to sleep. We didn't get home till late... which really effected his Easter.

Spring Break w/ Grandma Quaid

Today Cooper and I spent the day with Grandma Quaid. We shopped for his Easter outfit, we went to the mall and made a Happy Chick at Build-a-Bear, we had his picture taken at JC Penny, and with the Easter Bunny! What a fun day.

Passing on the Family Traditions

So for years my cousins and I have enjoyed eating sweet bread that our moms, grandma, and great aunts baked. It's a family recipe that has been passed down the generations and it's a portuguese tradition. So today my 2 cousins, Sarah and Carissa and I got our lesson in the family recipe. My Aunt Pat, and my mom taught us step by step just how to make this yummy goodness. We all met at my grandma's early this morning and we worked all day to make our double batch of sweet bread. It was fun to see how the dough rises and to learn how to roll it and make the "knot". By the end of the day we went home with several bags of the sweet bread we've eaten for years and the knowledge to make it a tradition in our homes. Thanks Aunt Pat and Mom!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Cooper got to wear his Kiss me I'm Irish shirt today. It was a gift from his Grandma Lebda! He looked so cute. Hope all of you had a Happy St. Patty's Day. We sure did and our house reaks of Corned Beef and Cabbage. Yuck.

Multi Tasking

As moms we have to multi-task. This morning since I had Cooper in the baby carrier I thought I'd help out and do some yard work too. I raked the back yard while he just hung out. He doesn't care what I do while he's in that thing as long as I'm movin'. I just kept giggling as I raked along and he just hung out. I guess those mamas in the 3rd world countries know what they're doing when they strap their baby to their back and keep on workin'
(Yes I am aware of how nasty I look in this pic and as I'm posting this at 4:49 this afternoon I still have not taken a shower or changed into real clothes.... again I have been multi-tasking today!)

He still loves his bath!

I laughed so hard when I put Cooper in his bath last night and he was sitting so relaxed with his little arm hangin' out the side of the tub. He just loves his bath!

Back to Work

I went back to work on Sat. It was an easy transition knowing Cooper would be home with Daddy. Dave is an awesome dad. Last Thurs. I left for a couple of hours to set up my supplies and when I came home I found Dave and Cooper playing Guitar Hero. What ever makes the 2 of them happy! It feels so good to be making some money and to be back at work part time. I love my job. It's so fun to get paid to talk to girls, pamper them and paint nails... and I get to dress cute!

Every Morning

Each morning when Dave leaves for work Cooper takes over his side of the bed. It's so cute how tiny he looks in our big bed. It also gives me a little more sleep time too!

Getting the house ready to sell.

Dave was up on the house today painting. We're getting the outside of the house ready to sell it. It's amazing what painting the trim could do to spruce up the place! We have another full day of work on the outside tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Dave!

Dave actually got a birthday this year. That's right, my leap year hubby celebrated his birthday on Frid. Feb. 29th! He had taken the day off so I got to make him breakfast in bed. Then that night we went to Famous Dave's for dinner. For his birthday Dave's parents got him a PS3 so I bought him Guitar Hero to go with it. After dinner we had an evening of everyone trying out their inner rocker! Dave thought my outfit went great with the guitar. It was a fun 8th birthday.
