Christmas Hang Over

That's right folks. No one in our family had any alcohol yesterday but boy do we ALL have a "Christmas Hang Over". We ALL slept in until 10:30 this morning. Coop has never slept in that late but we all snoozed this morning. Then he took a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day. Poor guy was super tired from yesterday's festivities. We did brave the crowds at Target and Best Buy today. Believe it or not it took us a total of 5 minutes to make our exchanges at Target and not long to check out. There were lots of crazy people and no one has the Wii now that Dave and I have money to buy one. We'll keep looking. In the mean time I purchased some iPod accessories over the internet and am looking forward to sleeping in again tomorrow. Hope you all recovered from your holidays!

4 Christmases... no not the movie, our life!

This used to be daddy's chair

Cousin Teah!

Great Grandma Perry's House

Still 1 more to go!

Our 2nd wind!

Dad's done.
That's right we had 4 Christmases. We started on Christmas eve in Kerman with my dad's family. Then hung out that night with Bill & Michelle (but we're not counting that in the 4 because no gifts were exchanged). We woke up Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought. Cooper got an Elmo Live, which Dave and I seem to enjoy more than him right now. We had full stockings and Dave and I exchanged gifts. He got a wireless router for his PS3 and I got a Purple iPod Nano! I am so excited. Then Dave's family came over and we had Christmas with them. About midday we headed back out to Kerman for Christmas with my mom's family. Then we came home and finally opened presents with my parents. Cooper only had 2 short naps on Christmas day to and from Kerman, but he got his 2nd wind when he saw the present Santa left at my parents house!

Happy Birthday Brother Bill... We Miss You!

So Tues. was my brother's birthday and in his memory every year we go out to Mexican food. It was one of his favs, not to mention we love it too. We had dinner at El Torrito in down town Fresno. Gotta love the margaritas and fried ice cream.

That stands for Thank God for Grandparents! Sat. night Dave and I needed some much needed "us" time. We have been going to birthday parties, and planning parties, and doing lots of things for friends and family soooo it was time for a date. Papa and Grandma Quaid took Cooper for the night and we ate dinner at Macaroni Grill and then went and saw 4 Christmases. It was a nice evening to catch up and re-group before Christmas hits. BTW Dave and I are trying some new looks these days. I've got major bangs and today Dave got a new do and he trimmed his beard so we're just a whole new couple. I'm lovin' the changes hope you all do too.

Cooper Turns 1!

So on Frid. our little guy turned 1! Hard to believe just a year ago we were bringing him home from the hospital. We had a day of fun planned for him. After his morning nap we took him to Estancia to have my good friend Michelle give him his 1st hair cut. He was such a good boy. He sat on my lap while dad fed him stars and grandma and papa took pics and video. After that we had lunch and then headed over to the Zoo. It was chilly so we bundled up. The sun came out in the afternoon so all the animals were laying out trying to get warm. We felt like we had the whole zoo to ourselves. After his 2nd nap we gave him his presents and cake. He wasn't sure about the cake at 1st, but once he really tasted the chocolate he got into, licking his fingers and finally sticking his whole face in it! Finally Coop headed off to a Christmas party with papa and grandma and Dave and I had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with some friends.

Holiday Traditions

On Wed. night Dave and I continued our holiday tradition of decorating the house for Christmas while listening to our Christmas CD's. Coop went to bed before we got started, but with all the noise we were making he woke up and got to see the work in progress. He didn't know what to think about the tree. At about 9:30 Dave discovered our tree lights were broken so he headed out to Target and then to Wal Mart. At Wal Mart he was so excited to find the last 2 boxes of multi function colored lights and the last quart of my request... Peppermint ice cream. We got our 2nd wind after the great finds from Wal Mart and finished the house and the tree at 12:15 in the morning. We powered through but it was worth it to have the house all decorated and ready to go! Check out my big fat belly from last years decorating post!

Back to the 80's!

So last night we partied like it was 1988! We were part of a surprise birthday party for our friend Blake. It was a progressive, 80's, Murder Mystery Dinner. We started out at the 1st house for appetizers and our 1st round of "clues". I was El Vampira aka Elvira. There was Polly Abdul, Debbie Lipson, Danny Son, Nork from Pork, We Pee Herman, Spunky Brewster and the list of 80's celebrities goes on. Our next house was dinner and "the murder". Finally at our last stop we enjoyed dessert and everyone's "confessions". Lindy Lauper ended up being the real murderer. It was such a fun evening and everyone went all out for their characters.
